DEMA Engineering Co. has an excellent opportunity for a Regional Sales Manager to join our Global Sales Team. This remote position will be responsible for institutional and industrial sales to a large customer base of chemical manufacturers, distributors, service companies, equipment manufacturers, and resellers of fluid control devices and chemical dispensing systems within the Great Lakes regional territory (MN, IA, IL, MI, IN, OH, KY, WV). Responsibilities include prospecting, developing new customers, growing existing customers, and managing issues involving customers and company interests. Overnight travel of 50% on average is required.

This position will report to the Sr. VP of Marketing & Regional Sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement strategic business plans that expand the company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence in assigned territory
- Nurture, build, and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs
- Provide consultative services and training in field and classroom
- Provide technical and installation support
- Resolve customer concerns regarding sales and service
- Present sales, revenue and expense reports, and realistic forecasts to the management team
- Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status
- Serve as a liaison and advocate for the customer and the organization
- Coordinate activities between sales department and other business departments
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations detailing products or services to customers and prospective customers
- Recommend products to improve sales potential and customer satisfaction
- Maintain technical and professional knowledge via professional training, publications, and networks
- Support National Accounts and other accounts not directly responsible for, when required
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or five years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience; degree plus experience preferred
- Knowledge of sales principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services
- Relevant product and industry knowledge including the understanding of industrial, institutional, and commercial chemical proportioning systems and applications
- Experience in chemical sales, cleaning, kitchen, food service, laundry, and/or housekeeping industries preferred
- Experience in car wash, food and beverage, OEM, and/or agricultural industries a plus
- Results oriented aptitude; experience consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets preferred
- Technical aptitude including the ability to comprehend complicated manuals and drawings
- Electrical and mechanical aptitude; experience preferred
- Strong relationship building, problem solving, and analytical skills with the ability to direct and recommend creative solutions
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of an organization
- Outstanding time-management skills with a proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while meeting deadlines
- Attitude that fosters teamwork, positive thinking, flexibility, and continuous improvement
- Commitment to continuous education through workshops, seminars, and conferences
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft 365 software; CRM and ERP software experience preferred
- Ability to maintain a safe driving record and willingness to travel by air as needed
